Steve’s been ‘the voice’ of Liverpool Football Club commentary on Radio City 96.7 for more than 10 years, working alongside reds legend John Aldridge on a match day. You’ll also catch him presenting a wide range of shows on LFCTV from ‘Press Box’ to live coverage of the LFC U21’s. Wherever the reds go, Steve and Aldo are there to cover the game, and their passionate coverage of the 2005 Champions league final led to them receiving some of the industry’s highest accolades.
Steve’s a radio nut whose day to day job is Editor of City Talk 105.9. It’s a station that lives and breathes the City of Liverpool and continues to go from strength to strength with its unique brand of news and sport programming. His typical day starts at 5am in the Radio City Tower where he prepares the sports output for the station, and then broadcasts the interviews and stories that matter to an audience of over half a million people.
His career highlights include presenting an ‘Audience With Rafa Benitez’ at the Liverpool Empire in front of a sell-out crowd, and hosting a ‘Question Time’ panel with the then Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
Steve’s passionate about all sports – but his major love is tennis! Unfortunately he admits his backhand will never quite be a test for Novak Djokovic!
