Through a fully inclusive sports system, the Partnership is supported by a
core team of professional officers, who have a key advocacy role for sport
and physical activity across the county.
They are strategic brokers between
sport and the wider agenda and support local partners in specific areas of
activity including: club development; coach development; school club links;
event management; volunteer development; disability sport and supporting talent
pathways.
The team also aims to help develop sport as a social tool to improve
the well-being of individuals, and to support the community as a whole, help
other agencies to meet their objectives as defined in the framework for sport
and link into the shared priorities of central and local government on health,
community safety and regeneration.
With strategic co-ordination and planning,
performance measurement and marketing and communication, the team aims to become
a single point of contact for support, information sharing and innovation to
ensure the effective delivery of sport within Merseyside.
