Tickets are swapped for write bands on the day of the event.
Speke Hall’s Summer of Sport programme is now in full flow already and will be at its peak from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 th August when the grounds of Speke Hall estate will transform into the great ‘Game On’ sports arena! With twelve different sports and activities to try throughout the weekend
and a medal for each child who enters, this is a fantastic and fun way to enjoy a weekend with family and friends of all abilities.
‘Game On’ runs from 18-20 August from 10.30am to 4.30pm. All activities are suitable for beginner level and above. There will also be disability sports on Friday 18 th August including ‘Wheels for All’ adapted cycling and blind football run by partners ‘SAVI Northwest’,
Sports to try every day at Game On include a giant climbing wall, tennis coaching sessions with ‘Liverpool Tennis Club’ canoeing on the beautiful lake, pop up badminton, archery, ping pong, and orienteering.
There will be extra new sports to try on Saturday – Sunday such as the Equestrian Trade Association ‘Robocob’ horse simulator. Try trotting or even galloping on a life size horse simulator! A firm favourite for ‘Sporty Speke’ is the ancient traditional sport of archery with the ‘Bridgefield Archers’ and soft archery for the under five years.
NEW sports for this year include Pilates sessions on the beautiful south lawn and ‘Family Fitness’ sessions, where the whole family can have a fun work out together, and ‘Buggy Fit’ for parents who would like a work out with their little ones.
Normal ground admission prices applies (free for NT members and children under 5) Visitors can take part in the ‘Game On’ event by buying a £5 ticket online or at the Sports gazebo on the day.
Tickets are swapped on the day for a wristband which allows access to all of the great sports on site. When you have tried as many sports as you can, you can then collect a proper medal to keep as a reward!
‘Speke Hall really is the ‘green gym of Liverpool’ this summer, with sport activities every Monday, Friday and Sunday throughout August. Tickets to ‘Game On’ can be pre booked online via the Speke Hall website. There will also be tickets on sale on each day at the ‘Game On’ sports gazebo for £5 cash each.
