This is the third year Capita - the UK's largest support services company - has supported and sponsored the games. The games is just one of three Merseyside Sports Partnership events, for which Capita provides funding for, each year.
Capita are also the sole sponsor of the Disability Sport Coach Education programme, which trains over 200 Merseyside residents a year to coach disabled people, to play sports. Additionally, this year, at the Future Sporting Champions Dinner, Capita are supporting the Volunteer of the Year Award, which encourages young people to achieve their sporting dreams.
Capita's Operation Manager, Steve Sharp, said "We're keen to support our local community and the Games is a brilliant event for a huge number of Merseyside youngsters. I'm glad we are able to continue our sponsorship for another year, as it's been a delight to be involved in all three events'.
Merseytravel is privileged to work in partnership with Merseyside Sports Partnership. We sponsor specific sports at the Merseyside Youth Games so that young people across the region can participate in this excellent programme of activity. Young people are the passengers of the future, and Merseytravel is deeply committed to encouraging young people to take up or continue to use public transport services. Merseyside Youth Games enables the young people of Merseyside to reach sporting excellence and Merseytravel is proud to be a part of this programme.
