Merseyside Sports Partnership is committed to developing sport at all levels
and for all levels of performer. We aim to work with National Governing
Bodies of Sport to advocate the delivery of their Whole Sport Plans, Youth
Sport Trust in the delivery of the PE and School Sport Club Links strategy
and Sport England in the delivery of their Regional Sport and Physical Activity
Plan, to increase participation and raise standards in sport and physical activity
across Merseyside.
Sporting Pathways are the routes from playing sport in your back garden to
competing in the Olympics, and everything in between. Merseyside Sports Partnership
is tasked with helping to identify sporting pathways for people who would like
to progress in their chosen sport or sports. Pathways could be from school
to sports clubs, or from sports clubs to regional competitions. Talented individuals
should be actively encouraged and helped to progress to County, Regional, National
and International level as they are potentially our future sporting champions.
