Competition: Sporting Champions Dinner

Every year Merseyside Sports Partnership rewards the hard work and dedication of people in sport at the Merseyside Sporting Champions Dinner. With awards for Young Sports Person of the Year, Volunteer, Coach and Club of the Year and Lifetime Achiever, plus a Special Recognition award for services to sport in Merseyside.

The evening not only recognises the hard work and commitment of our local sporting champions, it also raises money, through table sales and a sports memorabilia raffle, for the Merseyside Sports Bursary, a fund which helps young  Merseyside athletes to achieve their goals.

The guests at this high profile event include local dignitaries, local authorities, local businesses, sports personalities (including a number of Olympic and Commonwealth medal winners) Universities and Sport England. It is also an opportunity for our key sponsors to meet with the coaches and volunteers that benefit from their support, and for sports organisations to get together and celebrate a successful year with entertainment from sports personality speakers.
