Coaches: Get Qualified

Get Qualified North West aims to help individuals gain qualifications across the Sport, Outdoors and Health & Fitness sectors. It is a fantastic opportunity to receive financial support towards your training and development needs. This programme is not only open to individuals but also to employers, subject to eligibility, who may have staff that would specifically benefit from accessing support for up-skilling and development opportunities.

Get Qualified NW provides applicants with the opportunity to receive a contribution of up to 60% towards course fees - capped at £200 for a Level 2 and £300 for a Level 3 - for certain Sport, Outdoors and Health & Fitness qualifications.

Get Qualified NW applicants will have to live and work in the Sport, Outdoors or Health & Fitness sectors in the North West. In Merseyside, employees and volunteers within all 6 Local Authority areas are eligible to access support.

Full time students are not be eligible to access the funding support available.

Get Qualified NW is funded by the European Social Fund and the Learning and Skills Council. Merseyside Sports Partnership (working together with the other 4 North West County Sport Partnerships) successfully supported a partnership bid with a variety of delivery partners including the National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure, sports coach UK, the National Governing Bodies and The University of Cumbria.

The University of Cumbria is the lead body, on behalf of the partnership, responsible for the management, co-ordination and delivery of the programme.
